A lot of discrepancy in this step. For the first layer, is it the users job to know that the filament is not extruding correctly? Should the facilitator be making sure the first layer is always fine?

If this is a general guide on how to print, I don’t think the user is going to care about temperatures and all this information. A quick blurb saying “The filament needs to heat up before printing. This will take about 15 minutes. Make sure you stick around for the first to layers to make sure there are no problems with your print“ would be better than random info

I would crop out Too Low, Too High, Good, and the numbers because they are confusing. And as your blurb, I would say, “if your first layer does not look good, report this to a facilitator. “ But I like the “If printing isnt sticking“ blurb

I would get rid of the > symbol. Usually, non-STEM related people look at this symbol and freak out.

I wouldnt use the red bullet point. It looks black and I get confused as to what I need to look for. Maybe a pink circle with a pink bullet point.

Unclip the 2 clips yet there is only 1 clip in the image? Also, I would use circles to show the clips because I assumed they were related to the blue bullet-point step.

I would also add something about “Do not attempt to remove object while model is still on bed“ before uncliping instructions

I saw a pink bullet point but a red arrow. A random person would not know what the pink bullet is referring to. Is this a typo or is it supposed to be pink?

I would add a colored bullet point to the Rotate phrases you currently have and put the associating colored square on the picture

“We Simplify3D…” makes no sense. What does that mean and what am I supposed to do?

That Simplify3D link, I feel like, has no importance to some random student that needs help printing.

The second link, its confusing as to whether or not I should use the file to go through the steps or the actual steps

Phrases like “Translate Models“ and “Scale Models“ are only familiar to STEM majors. A poli-sci major or any other major would have no idea what you are talking about. I would use more generic phrases like “move model“ or “Change size“

I would add detail about changing the process, adding/subtracting support and raft

There is no clarification on what to do one the model is done being edited.

“download.a.zip” is not a button nor can I find anything that says this

On “if you have your own thing“ I would mention “If this is a class project, please see a facilitator“ so we can refer them to Tim

I would mention something about “if a part is on Simplify3D, go ahead and delete it. Do not worry about saving the part.”
